‘Hentyfarm is about artistic expression at its most elemental. It starts in the vineyard, where our relationship with the growers is based on respect as custodians of the land. Then the alchemy begins, where the combination of low intervention winemaking, native and introduced yeasts and naturally driven hand-plunged ferments, using older French oak, culminate in wines of finesse and elegance. Our collective approach is rustic and minimal, holding true to the idea that this winemaking venture is a farming practice.

The Hentyfarm family is fiercely intent on keeping our production small and handcrafted.’ FIND OUT MORE

“d’Arenberg was established in 1912 when Joseph Osborn, a teetotaler and director of Thomas Hardy and Sons, sold his stable of prize winning horses to purchase the property. Each generation of the Osborn family has passed on knowledge to the next custodian of the soil, and today fourth generation family member Chester makes distinctive wines using traditional methods both in the vineyard and the winery.

Minimal input viticulture is employed across d’Arenberg owned, leased and contracted vineyards. This includes minimal or no irrigation, no soil cultivation, minimal spraying and most importantly, no fertilization. This natural and environmentally friendly philosophy encourages strong root systems that penetrate multiple levels of soil which is reflected in lively tannin structures, soil characters and fine minerality.” FIND OUT MORE
